At 9:30 a.m. on June 30th, teachers and students from the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, filled with their yearning for cutting-edge technology, entered the Xianyang factory of Guosheng Laser, embarking on a profound and warm journey of industry-university-research exchange. At 11 a.m., under the leadership of the factory director He Yi and Director Lyu Wenhui, the teachers and students entered the production workshop and embarked on an "immersive" technical study tour.

Inside the workshop, the neatly arranged laser equipment, like precise "industrial artists", operates efficiently under the scheduling of the automated production line. Factory Director He Yi's explanation was clear and easy to understand: In front of the laser cladding equipment, he demonstrated how the laser controls energy like a "precision scalpel" to evenly cladding alloy powder on the metal surface, achieving a qualitative leap in the material's wear resistance and corrosion resistance. In the 3D printing area, layers of powder are "grown" into complex components under the action of lasers, allowing teachers and students to directly experience the magic of additive manufacturing that "creates something out of nothing".

This worn component, after being repaired by laser cladding, has its wear resistance increased by more than three times. Lu Wenhui held up a restoration piece in the sample area, using examples to illustrate the value of technology. He further explained by drawing on application cases in fields such as aerospace, railway transportation, and wind power that the engine blades repaired for aviation enterprises can still operate stably under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. The mobile online repair equipment applied to railway tracks can complete wear repair within a few hours, significantly reducing the impact on railway operations. The service life of wind power gears treated by laser is extended by more than twice... One by one, vivid cases enabled teachers and students to deeply understand "how technological innovation empowers industrial upgrading".
